Most recently Nils founded and operates CTSS Group, a firm focusing on providing high quality procurement solutions pertaining to military, law-enforement and security needs as well as political and corporate risk analysis and related security solutions. CTSS Group has a focus on the Asian and American markets, with core clients from governments as well as in the transportation and resource extraction fields. CTSS Group is uniquely placed in the market to offer comprehensive technological, operational and security solutions to clients.
Prior to founding CTSS Group Nils worked for the Chairman of Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defense; House of Councilors - Diet of Japan, where he was responsible for coordinating national security and defense related issues pertaining to NE Asia and the US.
Nils has furthermore worked with a number of other prominent political and business leaders from Japan and maintains an active buisness realtionship in these areas. Prior to working in Japan, Nils was commissioned to conduct research on National Security and Defense related issues.
Preceding that Nils worked at The Information Policy Institute – where he was a founding member – on issues relating to data security and data privacy.
Prior to IPI Nils was an employee of Pfizer Inc. in various positions of increasing responsibility within their Global Market Research team. Earlier he gained valuable policy experience working for both the DMA – as the Manager of International Services – and the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce (City of New York).
In addition, Nils has worked extensively with military and law-enforcement agencies from around the world. He has furthermore gained considerable understanding and insight of the policy process within the US and the European Union working on a number of regulatory and defense and security related issues that have given him considerable exposure to the legislative and policy process in the respective nations. Nils has completed a Master of Arts in International Policy Studies at the Monterey Institute of International Studies and also holds a degree from Columbia Univ.
He is a member of AFIO, INSA, the Foreign Policy Association and IISS.
