Managing Director - CTSS Group Japan - Tokyo

CTSS Group, LLC is looking to hire a Managing Director to run the companies entire operations in Japan. The person should have prior management experience and a high degree of knowledge concerning military, defense and policy issues. Fluency in Japanese is required.

This position is located in Tokyo and the areas of responsibility include the entire nation of Japan and all foreign institutions operating therein.

The primary responsibilities of this position are to actively and progressively manage office and staff as well as pursue contracts with private and government entities in Japan, such as the major defense manufacturers, trading houses, the Ministry of Defense and the various military and law enforcement branches/institutions.

The applicant must have a minimum of 15 years experience or more in a relevant field; a M.A./M.S. or higher is preferred. Applicant will be expected to build business relationships and generate business independently. Prior verifiable experience in managing an independent office and building business relationships is required.

Remuneration package is very competitive and will to a large degree be based upon commissions but can be negotiated to include, living/rent compensation, international health insurance and corporate transportation. Vacation time is negotiable but expected to be set at about 4 weeks per year for the first 5 years, rising to 5 weeks after that, plus all Japanese public holidays. The above are guidelines and will be negotiated and adjusted as needed to the particular circumstances of the applicant. A Japanese applicant with fluency in English is preferred.
